In this article we will show you how to import a MySQL database in cPanel. This is important should you need to reinstall a website backup or if you are migrating a website from another cPanel server. This guide will only work if you have already downloaded your database from your previous cPanel account.
Login to your cPanel account.
Scroll down to the databases section and click on phpmyadmin.
When phpmyadmin loads select the database you wish to import to from the list on the left hand menu.
Click on the “Import” tab at the top of the page.
Click on the choose file button and select the backup file file wish to import.
Leave all other settings as they are and then click on the “Go” button.
Your MySQL database will then be imported to your selected database.
